TRAINING SOLUTIONS FOR TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS COURSE OUTLINE:
This course provides the background necessary to perform procedures normally encountered by a Process Operator in the control room. Through a series of simulated control schemes in this course, you identify the mechanics of operating the human-machine interface and interacting with typical process displays.
This course is ideal for personnel who are responsible for day-to-day operations in a plant.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Getting Familiar with the Operator’s Workstation
- Use each of the devices provided with the Operator’s Workstation to access displays, overlays and environments, determine if display objects are pickable, and perform various windowing operations.
Responding to Process Alarms
- Given a typical process situation, recognize the occurrence of a Process Alarm, determine its cause, and provide an appropriate response.
Controlling a Typical Process
- Operate the standard faceplate displays and custom graphic displays to control a typical process.
Trending Changes in Process Conditions
- Use the trend display, in the real-time and historical modes, to observe variations in process conditions.
Standard and Custom Reports
- Describe the information presented in both standard and custom process reports.
Printer Operations
- Perform the procedures to setup and operate the printers.
